Olwen – Occupational Therapist

Olwen is a dedicated Occupational Therapist with a passion for helping people experience the transformative benefits of meaningful, purposeful activity.

With a strong foundation as an outdoor pursuits instructor, she developed a deep appreciation for how movement, challenge, and connection with nature can support wellbeing and personal growth. This experience inspired her to complete a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy, where she gained a comprehensive understanding of human occupation and the therapeutic value of participation.

Since qualifying, Olwen has worked with individuals across the lifespan — from children to older adults — supporting people with diverse learning, sensory, physical, and emotional needs. Her experience includes working with autistic individuals, people with developmental coordination challenges, dysgraphia, and those navigating mental health and emotional regulation differences.

Olwen takes a neuroaffirmative, client- and family-centred approach, collaborating closely with each person to set meaningful goals and build on their strengths. She draws on evidence-based and strengths-focused strategies, including Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP), the Zones of Regulation, the Talkabout Programme, and other personalised approaches to promote regulation, engagement, and independence.

She is CORU-registered and a member of the Association of Occupational Therapists of Ireland (AOTI), maintaining a strong commitment to ongoing learning, professional growth, and best-practice care.

Olwen’s compassionate approach and wide-ranging experience make her a valued part of the Evolve Therapy team, supporting individuals to enhance wellbeing, confidence, and participation in all aspects of daily life.
