About Emily
Emily – Clinical Director and Senior Speech and Language Therapist
Emily is a CORU-registered Speech and Language Therapist and Early Childhood Educator with over ten years’ experience working across Ireland and internationally. She has advanced clinical expertise in supporting autistic children, late talkers, and children with developmental language disorder (DLD), apraxia, dyspraxia, dyslexia, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and complex or rare disabilities.
A sensory-based and neuroaffirmative clinician, Emily integrates sensory processing principles into communication and feeding therapy to support regulation, comfort, and connection. She is trained in Gestalt Language Processing (Natural Language Acquisition), Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy, PROMPT, DIR/Floortime, and play-based learning. Emily is also highly experienced in feeding and swallowing (Dysphagia), ARFID, and motor speech development.
As a specialist in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), Emily works with systems such as Tobii Dynavox, LAMP, Proloquo2Go, and PODD, integrating Assistive Technology (AT) and voice banking into functional, everyday communication.
Emily is also a highly skilled online therapist, having supported children and families across Ireland and internationally through effective, engaging teletherapy sessions. Her approach is play-based, trauma-sensitive, and family-centred, ensuring each child feels safe, respected, and empowered.
Emily holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Speech and Language Therapy from the University of Greenwich and Canterbury Christ Church University and a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies from University College Cork. She is a full member of the Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists (IASLT).
