Áine – Senior Speech and Language Therapist
Áine graduated with a Masters in Speech and Language Therapy from the University of Limerick in 2013, following a BA (Hons) Degree in Social Care. She is a CORU-registered Speech and Language Therapist and a member of the Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists (IASLT).
Before joining Evolve Therapy, Áine worked in London as a Senior Speech and Language Therapist in a specialist school supporting children and young people aged 3–19 with complex communication and learning needs.
Áine is passionate about creating meaningful, evidence-based therapy that celebrates each child’s individual communication style. She has particular expertise in supporting autistic children and adolescents, individuals with Down syndrome, global developmental delay, multiple or complex needs, and sensory or medical differences.
She is trained in Gestalt Language Processing (Natural Language Acquisition) and has extensive experience in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Áine is also trained in Dysphagia management, Lámh, PECS, Intensive Interaction, Elklan, and Assistive Technology.
Áine’s approach is neuroaffirmative, child-led, and collaborative. She works closely with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to build supportive communication environments where every child feels understood, connected, and confident.
Above all, Áine believes that therapy should be fun, motivating and functional, in order to achieve the best outcomes for the client and their families.
